Why "neo pronouns", "xeno pronouns", "neo genders", and "xeno pronouns" are not valid:

-
Harder to Respect and Confusing
Neopronouns are harder for people to respect and remember. They create unnecessary confusion in communication. Respecting someone's identity is important, but when you introduce a myriad of pronouns, it becomes difficult for everyone to keep up. This confusion only leads to more mistakes and disrespect, even unintentionally.
Underage Users and Self-Diagnosing
A lot of neopronoun users are underage and self-diagnosing, which is not valid. Self-diagnosis is dangerous and can lead to misinformation and harm. Using autism as an excuse to create new words and pronouns damages the reputation of both the neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ communities. It’s irresponsible and harmful.
Unnecessary and Mocking the LGBT Community
There's no need for neopronouns when we already have a perfectly good gender-neutral option; they/them. Neopronouns are often used for aesthetics, which mocks the struggles and identities of the LGBT community. Inventing new words and pronouns for the sake of being different diminishes the legitimacy of our fight for recognition and rights.
Grammatical Nonsense
Many of these "pronouns" don't even make grammatical sense. Language is meant to facilitate communication, not complicate it. When neopronouns start to break down the basic structure of language, it makes it harder for people to take the community seriously.
Making the LGBT Community Look Like a Joke
Neopronouns make the entire LGBT community look like a joke. They give the impression that we can just choose our identity on a whim, which isn’t the case. This takes away from the representation and visibility of those who actually need it. The gatekeeping in the neopronoun community is dumb and disgusting.
Perfectly Good Gender-Neutral Option
They/them is already a perfectly good gender-neutral pronoun. There's no need for extra ones. Neopronoun users are often hard to talk to because if you even dare to question or make a mistake, you’re met with hostility. Nicknames are not the same as pronouns, and making your special interest your pronouns is not okay.
Complicated and Harmful
Overall, neopronouns are complicated and stupid. Homophobes already want to kill gay people. Using all these made-up pronouns isn't going to help them think better of us. It makes them hate us more.
They Undermine Serious Activism
Neopronouns detract from the serious activism that has been done for LGBTQ+ rights. Movements like the Stonewall riots and the fight for marriage equality were not about creating an ever-expanding list of pronouns, but about basic human rights and acceptance. Neopronouns trivialize these struggles.
Safety and Misuse Concerns
Neopronouns can be misused and manipulated easily. Predators and trolls can hide behind obscure pronouns, making it harder to identify and report abusive behavior. This poses a safety risk, especially for younger and more vulnerable members of the community.
Lack of Consensus
There is no widespread agreement on neopronouns, even within the LGBTQ+ community. This lack of consensus further complicates their use and acceptance. When a concept lacks clear, universal standards, it becomes impractical to implement and enforce.

'Neopronouns' and 'xenopronouns' need to stop being used. They are not valid at all. They complicate communication, mock the community, and put us in danger. They undermine serious activism, create division, and pose safety risks. Let’s stick to what works and fight for our rights without unnecessary distractions. We need to protect the integrity and reputation of the LGBTQ+ community, and rejecting neopronouns is a crucial step in that direction.
